We exude the lessons we value. // Lessons learned yield fruitful returns, and nowhere is this more evident than in our behavior. Success and failure wisely guide us via different means toward the achievement of our dreams. The joy and pain to which they are respectively tethered prompt us in equal measure to consider anew how best to move forward, as we are reinforced by the findings we discover as our reward. What works once may well work again and what has been insufficient provides us a path for exploring an alternative means to an end. Joy and pain do not lead us astray if we trust that they will show us the way. Indeed, it is through the struggle of defeat and the ecstasy of victory that we learn what maximizes our flow or increases resistance to our aims, both of which constitute valuable gains in the realm of experience. As we are refined through this personal evolution, our behavior bears the results of the arduous work that occurs beyond the surface of our personality. This is the story of our development. William Wordsworth popularized the expression, "The child is the father of the man" in his poem, "The Rainbow." Gender aside, this holds true for each of us. What is sewn in earlier development proceeds by degrees as we progress through our journey of existence. We give birth to our future self. This implies a challenge we each share: to guide ourselves toward more expansive horizons where we increasingly receive the space we need in order to grow and be, naturally. As we negotiate this, the education we gain is evident in every decision we make, as well as those we do not. Undoubtedly, our choices reveal what we have discovered thus far. In turn, that which we are most grateful for learning radiates outward, imparting the wisdom of an experienced heart. // We exude the lessons we value. //
